Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2025-02-26
1. Commitment to accessibility
Ben R Tek 2000 LTD is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to people with disabilities, based on the belief that everyone has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and maximum independence. Accessibility is implemented in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and Israeli Standard 5568 for accessibility of web content (SI 5568), in its current edition.
2. Accessibility standard
The website is accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 for accessibility of web content at Level AA, based on WCAG 2.1 principles. This includes: logical structure and content, alternative text for images, appropriate color contrast, ability to enlarge text, keyboard navigation and compatibility with screen readers.
3. Accessibility tool and adjustments
The website meets the requirements of SI 5568 and offers an accessibility adjustments panel. The accessibility button (person icon) is located at the bottom left of the screen. Opening it displays an adjustments panel that can be opened and closed with the keyboard as well (pressing Escape closes the panel).
At the start of each page a "Skip to content" link appears — visible when navigating with the keyboard (Tab). Clicking it moves focus to the main content and skips the navigation menu, in line with the standard.
Panel adjustments
- Text size — normal, large or extra large.
- High contrast — dark background and light text, including buttons and form fields.
- Highlight links — outline and underline for all links.
- Reduce motion — disables animations and transitions. The site also respects the system "prefers-reduced-motion" preference.
- Focus highlight — prominent focus ring around elements when using keyboard navigation.
- Reset to default — button to restore all adjustments to their initial state.
Your preferences are saved on your device (localStorage) and remain active on future visits. At the bottom of the panel — a link to this full accessibility statement and the reset button.
4. Browser and device compatibility
The website has been tested and made accessible in common browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and on mobile devices. We recommend keeping your browser up to date. Use of screen readers (e.g. NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) is supported; full keyboard navigation is supported.
5. Parts that may not be fully accessible
We aim to make the entire site accessible. Some external content (e.g. videos or documents from external sources) or older content may not yet be fully accessible. If you identify a specific issue — we would be glad to hear from you so we can address it.
6. Accessibility feedback and comments
If you have encountered an accessibility issue on the site or have an idea for improvement — we would be glad to hear from you. You can get in touch via our Contact page, by email at benrtek@benrtek.com, or by phone at 02-6767888. We will address your inquiry as soon as possible.
7. Enforcement
Under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the regulations made under it, you may contact the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice regarding the accessibility of digital services.
