AZ9201 Series - American Zettler Introduces Low-Cost Subminiature, Ultra-Sensitive Relays
Aliso Viejo, California, January 6, 2010 American Zettler, Inc. has introduced a new line of 5 Amp subminiature, ultra-sensitive relays specifically designed for industrial control use in products.
The new relays feature a single inline package (SIP) that is only 5.08 mm wide with a 103 square mm footprint, said Dave West, vice president of Sales, American Zettler, Inc. Although small, these relays are extremely sensitive, requiring only 120 mW at nominal coil voltage (58 mW at coil pickup voltage) and switch up to 5 Amps at 250 VAC or 30 VDC.
The new line of relays come with 1 Form A contact with up to 5 Amp switching capability, cadmium-free contacts and a dielectric strength of 2,000 Vrms contact to coil. Applications include centralized and decentralized heating control, extremely narrow interface elements, interface technology, timers, PLCs, I/O modules and I/O-ports. The AZ9201 series is UL/CUR rated and VDE approval is pending.

Magnetics has updated its Inductor Design Software. The Inductor Design Software is an aid to assist design engineers in selecting the optimum powder core for inductor applications, specifically switch-mode power supply (SMPS) output filters, also known as DC Inductors. This revision includes the most current selection of parts, including E core and U core shapes, and also allows for the stacking of cores for increased height. RONKONKOMA, New York November 28, 2007 UltraVolt, Inc., the world-leading manufacturer of standard-product DC-to-DC high-voltage power supplies, today announced the improvement of the ripple specifications on its "10A-25A" Series and its "30A-40A" Series modules.
Ripple on high-voltage power supplies with 10kV to 40kV output was reduced by 20% to 80% versus the previous specifications, giving engineers optimized precision and helping reduce the need for additional filtration. UltraVolt improved the characteristics of the modules while maintaining the existing compact package size. This change improves the performance of 40 models of high-voltage converters and hundreds of configurations.

ULTRAVOLT® SHRINKS INTO MICROSIZE / MICROPOWER HIGH VOLTAGE
RONKONKOMA, New York — April 22, 2009 — UltraVolt, Inc., the world-leading manufacturer of standard-product DC-to-DC high-voltage power supplies, announced today its plan to offer several families of standard-product, microsize and micropower high-voltage power supplies.
These new lines of microsize and micropower high-voltage power supplies open many avenues to customers, offering UltraVolt’s tradition of high performance coupled with ultra-compact size and low power. These miniature, lightweight models offer low ripple, tight line and load regulation, programmable output, and output current-limit protection. Some models feature voltage monitoring and performance to 10ppm. The new series are designed and optimized to meet the needs of design engineers with applications such as avalanche photo diodes (APD), photomultiplier tubes (PMT), micro-channel plates (MCP), image intensifiers (ii), electrostatic chucks (E-chuck), scanning electron microscopes (SEM), and mass spectrometers.
Volumes for the new families range from 0.08in³ to 3in³ [1.3cc to 50cc], representing packages less than one tenth the volume of UltraVolt’s existing high voltage modules. Output voltages for these new lines range from 0 to 100V through 0 to 8kV, at 100mW to 6W of output power, with output current ranges from 30µA to 6mA.
